Inclusion of every child: Each child deserves to feel welcome and valued in NVSD schools.

School as a community hub: Schools offer children, parents and teachers an opportunity to build a healthy understanding of community.

21st Century Education: Educate students today to equip them for the world tomorrow. 

Social-Emotional Learning: Support for both academic and social-emotional learning for a holistic approach to student care.

Complex Learners: Provide the appropriate resources for each child to learn in a way that meets their individual learning needs and allows them to feel successful.

Indigenous Education: Through attention to reconciliation, support Indigenous students to achieve their educational goals and include Indigenous ways of knowing in all classrooms.
